What is a lab-grown diamond?
A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond with the same chemical structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond; the only difference is that it is grown in a controlled environment rather than underground. It should not be confused with diamond simulants such as cubic zirconia or moissanite. It is graded on the same cut, colour, clarity and carat criteria as a natural diamond.

Settings, stone setting and finish
Because a lab-grown diamond is as hard as a natural one, it is set with the same techniques: prong, pavé, channel and bezel. Stone seats are calculated at the CAD stage from the dimensions of each stone. White gold is rhodium plated, and black rhodium plating can be applied where a dark, high-contrast look is wanted.

Yes. It is chemically, physically and optically the same as a natural diamond; only its origin differs.
Is a lab-grown diamond the same as cubic zirconia or moissanite?
No. Cubic zirconia and moissanite are different stones that resemble diamond. A lab-grown diamond is diamond.
