Lab-Grown Diamond Engagement Rings and Tennis Bracelets: What to Look For
Solitaire engagement rings and tennis bracelets are two of the most requested lab-grown diamond designs. Here is what matters when you buy or source them.
The 4Cs still apply
Cut drives sparkle and is the most important factor. Colour in the D–F range looks icy white, while G–H is excellent value. Clarity of VS1–VS2 is clean to the eye. Carat is weight; lab-grown stones let you go larger for the same budget.
Solitaire rings: setting and metal
- Six-prong or four-prong settings maximize light.
- Halo settings make the centre stone look larger.
- 14k or 18k gold gives durability for daily wear; white, yellow and rose gold are all available.
Tennis bracelets
A tennis bracelet is a continuous line of matched stones. Quality depends on stone matching, a secure box clasp with safety catch, and flexible links that do not twist. We build them in 10k, 14k and 18k gold and in 925 silver with lab-grown diamonds.
Certification
For centre stones we recommend IGI or GIA grading. Melee stones in tennis bracelets are matched by size, colour and clarity rather than individually certified.
For brands and jewelers
